ABOUT ME

I have based my stories on historical places I have been to from my early childhood onwards. Some of the houses have even been owned by my friends or their families.
I have a special interest in some of the more unusual and even gruesome events which have occurred because they were frightening at the time in which they occurred and I still remember the terror that was struck into some of us as children mainly in the Cambridgeshire and Fenland areas.

I and my work colleagues even spoke to one of the Cambridgeshire murderers, obviously not knowing that he was going to kill a poor woman or that he had attacked a woman before in the past. I believe that ‘the eyes are the windows to a person’s soul’ and this particular man had very creepy eyes so I steered clear of him as much as possible at my place of work, and was thankful that he did not work there too!
A school mate’s uncle was one of the policemen who eventually captured one of the earlier murderers who roamed Histon and Impington in the 1960s. Ron the policeman spoke to me about it many years ago, but I had already heard the story from my school friend who lived nearby. I visited Ron many years after he had retired and he told me that he had not been credited for the arrest, but that the credit went to a Scotland Yard policeman instead. The arrest was quite dramatic because Ron was in great danger while doing his duty. The credit went to a Scotland Yard policeman instead apparently.

I have initially written all my stories in film script form because it was my intention for them to be used as screenplays, radio plays or stage plays.
Cambridgeshire and the Fens have some very exciting tales to tell, but many lie hidden and it is my intention to try and uncover a few of them.
